The oryctolagus cuniculus or rabbit  IGHG (immunoglobulin heavy constant gamma) gene encodes the Ig gamma (IgG) chain constant (C) region. The C region contains 3 Ig-like domains including the CH1, hinge, CH2 and CH3 domains.  The hinge, CH2 and CH3 region is also commonly referred to as the Fc region.  Fc meditates the interactions with the complement components and Fc-gamma receptors (FCGRs) to induce innate immune responses such as antibody-dependent complement activation and phagocytosis, respectively. The rabbit Fc control protein is expressed as a recombinant protein that include the hinge , CH2 and CH3 domains of rabbit IgG C region (which can be used for making rabbit Fc-fusion proteins).  The purified protein can be used as a negative control for rabbit  Fc-fusion proteins in a variety of biological assays.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 3 months. The undiluted protein can be stored at 4°C for no more than 2 weeks.

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
