F11R (F11 receptor), JAM1 (junctional adhesion molecule 1) or CD321 is a 299 amino acid (aa) single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the Immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF).  F11R/CD321 contains an N-terminal signal peptide, a 211-aa extracellular domain (ECD) with 2 Ig-like V-type domains and 2 potential glycosylation sites, a transmembrane domain (TM), and a 40-aa short cytoplasmic tail. F11R/CD321 is expressed in endothelium, epithelium and leukocytes.  F11R is an important regulator of tight junction assembly in epithelia serving as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space. F11R act as a receptor for reovirus and as a ligand for the integrin alpha-L/beta-2 involved in memory T-cell and neutrophil transmigration.  F11R also functions as a platelet receptor and is involved in platelet activation.

Construct Details: Full length human JAM1/F11R/CD321 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
