EVI2A (ecotropic viral integration site 2A protein homolog) is a 236 amino acid (aa) single pass type I transmembrane protein.  EVI2A contains an N-terminal signal peptide, an 103 aa extracellular domain (ECD) with 5 potential glycosylation sites, a transmembrane domain (TM), and an 82 aa cytoplasmic hydrophilic tail.  EVI2A and EVI2B were the genes originally identified between the 2 translocation breakpoints that interrupt the NF1 gene in patients with neurofibromatosis I. EVI2A may form a complex with itself or/and other membrane proteins to act as a cell-surface receptor for signal transduction.

Construct Details: Full length human EVI2A gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

Storage

 

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
