Human FASLG/CD178/CD95L/TNFSF6 Gene, Full-length cDNA in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
FASLG (Fas ligand) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF6). FASLG is a single-pass type II transmebrane glycoprotein consisting of a 80 amino acid (aa) cytoplasmic domain, a transmembrane domain and a 179 aa extracellular domain (ECD). FASLG may be released into the extracellular fluid, probably by cleavage form the cell surface. FASLG is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF6/FAS, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. FASLG may be involved in cytotoxic T-cell mediated apoptosis and in T-cell development. The FAS/FASLG signaling pathway is essential for immune system regulation, including activation-induced cell death (AICD) of T cells and cytotoxic T lymphocyte induced cell death. FASLG has also been implicated in the progression of several cancers. Defects in the FASLG gene may be related to some cases of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Construct Details: Full length human FASLG/TNFSF6 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter -/+ an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles.
