Description

LTB (lymphotoxin beta) or TNFC (tumor necrosis factor c) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily (TNFSF3). LTB/TNFSF2 is a single-pass type II transmebrane glycoprotein consisting of a short cytoplasmic domain (1-18 aa), a transmembrane domain (TM: 19-48 aa) and a 196 aa extracellular domain (ECD: 49-244 aa). LTB/TNFSF3 anchors LTA/TNFSF1 (lymphotoxin-alpha) to the cell surface through heterotrimer formation. The predominant form on the lymphocyte surface is the LTA1/LTB2 complex (e.g. 1 molecule alpha/2 molecules beta) and this complex is the primary ligand for the LTBR (lymphotoxin-beta receptor). The minor complex is LTA2/LTB1. LTB/TNFSF3 is an inducer of the inflammatory response system and involved in normal development of lymphoid tissue.

Construct Details: Full length human LTB/TNFSF3 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter -/+ an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles.

 

Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter -/+ a selection marker, see the vector map above)

 

Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months. 

 

 

 

 

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
