Human IL18R1/CD218a/IL1RRP Gene, Full-length cDNA in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
IL18R1 (interleukin-18 receptor 1), also known as IL18RA, IL1RRP and CD218a, is a single-pass, type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor (IL1R) family. Like other family members, IL18R1 contain 3 immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains in the extracellular region and an intracellular TIR (Toll-like receptor/IL-1 receptor) signaling domain that is also conserved in the Toll-like receptor family. Within the IL18 receptor complex, IL18R1 is responsible for the binding of the proinflammatory cytokine IL18, but not IL1A nor IL1B and contributes to IL18-induced cytokine production, either independently of SLC12A3, or as a complex with SLC12A3. IL18 is a proinflammatory cytokine involved in inducing cell-mediated immunity. IFN-alpha and IL12 are reported to induce the expression of IL18R1 in NK and T cells. IL18R1 along with four other members of the interleukin 1 receptor family, including IL1R2, IL1R1, ILRL2 (IL-1Rrp2), and IL1RL1 (T1/ST2), form a gene cluster on chromosome 2q.

Construct Details: Full length human IL18R1 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter -/+ an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles.
