Description

IL1RL2 (interleukin 1 receptor-like 2), also known as IL1Rrp2 and IL36R, is a single-pass, type I transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor (IL1R) family. The IL1R family comprises at least 10 members, which typically contain 3 immunoglobulin (Ig)-like domains in the extracellular region. Most members also have an intracellular TIR (Toll-like receptor/IL-1 receptor) signaling domain that is also conserved in the Toll-like receptor family. IL1RL1 can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and is involved in the function of helper T (Th) cells. IL1RL1, IL1R1, IL1R2 and IL1RL2 form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in chromosome 2q12.  IL1RL2 acts as a receptor for IL36 (IL36A, IL36B and IL36G). After binding to IL36, IL1RL2 associates with the coreceptor IL1RAP to form the IL36 receptor complex which mediates IL36-dependent activation of NF-kappa-B, MAPK and other pathways. The IL36 signaling system is thought to be present in epithelial barriers and to take part in local inflammatory response; it is similar to the IL-1 system. IL1RL2 may be involved in skin inflammatory response by induction of the IL-23/IL-17/IL-22 pathway

Gene SymbolIL1RL2; IL36R; IL-36R; IL1RRP2; IL-1Rrp2; IL1R-rp2

NCBI Gene ID: 8808

Uniprot Entry: Q9HB29

Construct Details: Full length human IL1RL2 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter -/+ an antibiotic selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles.

Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-Marker (see the vector map above)

Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)

Primers: Gene insert coding sequence can be confirmed by following primers:

(a) forward (or 5'-end) primer: 5’-CAAATGGGCGGTAGGCGTG-3’;

(b) reverse (or 3'-end) primer: 5’-CCAGGTTTCCGGGCCCTCAC-3’

Note: The sequence may vary due to the naturally occurring variants or mutations, such as single nucleotide polymorphism, or the artifact during PCR amplification.  High fidelity PCR systems should always be used.
