Human SLC34A2/NaPi2b/NPTIIb Gene, Full-length cDNA in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
SLC34A2 (sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2B) or NaPi2b is a 8-pass type II transmembrane protein belonging to the SLC34A transporter family. SLC34A2 acts as a type II sodium-phosphate cotransporter. It is highly expressed in lung and also detected in pancreas, kidney, small intestine, ovary, testis, prostate and mammary gland. In lung, SLC34A2 is found in alveolar type II cells but not in bronchiolar epithelium. SLC34A2 acrs as a pH-sensitive sodium-dependent phosphate transporter. Phosphate uptake is increased at lower pH. Defects in the SLC34A2 gene are a cause of pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis (PALM), a rare disease characterized by the deposition of calcium phosphate microliths throughout the lungs.
Gene Symbol: SLC34A2; NaPi2b; NPTIIb; NAPI-3B; NAPI-IIb; NaPi-2b
NCBI Gene ID: 10568
Uniprot Entry: O95436
Construct Details: Full length human SLC34A2 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.
Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-IRES-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter +/- a selection marker, see the vector map above)
Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)
Gene Insert Size: 2073 (bp)

Primers: Gene insert coding sequence can be confirmed by following primers:
(a) forward (or 5'-end) primer: 5’-CAAATGGGCGGTAGGCGTG-3’;
(b) reverse (or 3'-end) primer: 5’-CCAGGTTTCCGGGCCCTCAC-3’
Note: The sequence may vary due to the naturally occurring variants or mutations, such as single nucleotide polymorphism, or the artifact during PCR amplification. High fidelity PCR systems should always be used.
