Description

IL27RA (interleukin-27 receptor subunit alpha) is a single pass, type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the type I cytokine receptor family, type 2 subfamily.  IL27RA consists of a extracellular region with 3 fibronectin type III (FN3) domains, and a juxtamembrane WSXWS motif, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail with a box 1 motif.  The WSXWS motif is necessary for proper protein folding and efficient intracellular transport and cell-surface receptor binding, while the box 1 motif is required for JAK interaction and activation.  IL27RA is similar to the mouse T-cell cytokine receptor TCCR.  IL27RA acts as a receptor for IL27 but requires IL6ST/gp130 to mediate signal transduction in response to IL27. This IL27 signaling pathway that acts through STAT3 and STAT1 is involved in the regulation of Th1-type immune responses. It is also involved in innate defense mechanisms.

Construct Details: Full length human IL27RA gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells.  It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months.
