Human CD97/ADGRE5/TM7LN1 Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
CD97 is a 7 transmembrane receptor belonging to the secretin receptor family, which is also known as family B or 2 of the G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Many members of this family are receptors for peptide hormones from the glucagon hormone family and regulate the activation of two major signal transduction pathways: adenylyl cyclase (cAMP) and phosphatidylinositol-calcium pathways. CD97 is cleaved by self-catalytic proteolysis into a large extracellular subunit and seven-span transmembrane subunit, which associate at the cell surface as a receptor complex. CD97 may play a role in cell adhesion as well as leukocyte recruitment, activation and migration, and contains multiple extracellular EGF-like repeats which mediate binding to chondroitin sulfate and the cell surface complement regulatory protein CD55. CD97 may also play a role in the progression of several types of cancer.

Construct Details: Full length human CD97 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months.
