Human GHSR Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
GHSR (growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1), also known as GHRP (GH-releasing peptide receptor), belongs to the 7-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor 1 (GPCR1) family. GHSR serves as the receptor for Ghrelin and other growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRP) (e.g. Met-enkephalin and GHRP-6) as well as non-peptide, low molecular weight secretagogues (e.g. adenosine). GHSR defines a neuroendocrine pathway for growth hormone release and plays a role in energy homeostasis and regulation of body weight. Mutations in the GHSR gene are associated with growth hormone deficiency (GHDP), an autosomal disorder characterized by partial growth hormone deficiency resulting in growth delay and short stature.

Construct Details: Full length human GHSR gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months.
