Human VSIG4/Z39IG/CRIG Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
VSIG4 (V-set and immunoglobulin domain-containing protein 4), Z39Ig or CRIg (complement receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily) is a single pass type I transmembrane protein belonging to the Immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF). VSIG4 contains a 264 aa extracellular region (ECD) with 1 V-type Ig-like (IgV) domain and 1 C2-type Ig-like (IgC2) domain, a transmembrane (TM) domain and a 95 aa cytoplasmic tail. VSIG4 is bundantly expressed in several fetal tissues. In adult tissues, highest expression is seen in lung and placenta. VSIG4 is also expressed in resting macrophages. The VSIG4 gene is is structurally related to the B7 family of immune regulatory proteins. TVSIG4 may be a negative regulator of T-cell responses. VSIG4 may act as a phagocytic receptor, strong negative regulator of T-cell proliferation and IL2 production. VSIG4 is also a receptor for the complement component 3 fragments C3b and iC3b. VSIG4 may function as a potent inhibitor of the alternative complement pathway convertases.
Gene Symbol: VSIG4; CRIg; Z39IG
NCBI Gene ID: 11326
Uniprot Entry: Q9Y279
Construct Details: Full length human VSIG4 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.
Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-IRES-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter, see the vector map above)
Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)
Gene Insert Size: 1200 (bp)

Primers: Gene insert coding sequence can be confirmed by following primers:
(a) forward (or 5'-end) primer: 5’-CAAATGGGCGGTAGGCGTG-3’;
(b) reverse (or 3'-end) primer: 5’-CCAGGTTTCCGGGCCCTCAC-3’
Note: The sequence may vary due to the naturally occurring variants or mutations, such as single nucleotide polymorphism, or the artifact during PCR amplification. High fidelity PCR systems should always be used.
