Human PI16/CD359/CRISP9/PSPBP Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
MSMB is a member of the beta-microseminoprotein family and presumably an immunoglobulin binding factor (IGF). Members of the microseminoprotein protein family contain 10 conserved cysteine residues that form intra-molecular disulfide bonds. Specific receptors for MSMB are found on spermatozoa and in the prostate. The expression of MSMB is found to be decreased in prostate cancer. PI16 (peptidase inhibitor 16), CRSP9 or CD359 is a member of the CRSP (cysteine-rich secretory protein). PI16 was identified as a secreted protein that interacts with MSMB/PSP94, thus also known as PSPBP. PI16 may inhibit cardiomyocyte growth. PI16 may serve as a marker following prostatectomy for prostate cancer.

Construct Details: Full length human PI16 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.
