Human SLC39A14/ZIP14/hZIP14/NET34 Gene, Full-length cDNA in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
SLC39A14 (solute carrier family 39 member 14), also known as Zinc transporter ZIP14, is a six-pass type I transmembrane protein belonging to the ZIP transporter (TC 2.A.5) family. SLC39A14 shows structural characteristics of zinc transporters and may act as a zinc-influx transporter. Zinc is an essential cofactor for hundreds of enzymes. It is involved in protein, nucleic acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism, as well as in the control of gene transcription, growth, development, and differentiation. SLC39A14 may mediate cellular uptake of nontransferrin-bound iron with a broad-scope metal ion transporter with a preference for zinc uptake.

Construct Details: Full length human SLC39A14 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.
