Human GPR98/FEB4/MASS1/USH2B/USH2C/VLGR1 Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
GPR98 is a 7 transmembrane receptor belonging to the secretin receptor family, which is also known as family B or 2 of the G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Many members of this family are receptors for peptide hormones from the glucagon hormone family and regulate the activation of two major signal transduction pathways: adenylyl cyclase (cAMP) and phosphatidylinositol-calcium pathways. GPR98 is also known as very large G protein-coupled receptor 1 (VLGR1) with 6306 amino acids. GPR98 binds calcium and is expressed in the central nervous system. Mutations in this gene are associated with Usher syndrome 2 and familial febrile seizures. GPR98 may have an important role in the development of the central nervous system.

Construct Details: Full length human GPR98 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.

The product is shipped at 4°C. Upon receipt, centrifuge the product briefly before opening the vial. It is recommended to store small aliquots at the temperature below –20°C for long-term storage and the product is stable for 6 months.
