Human CELR1/CELSR1/CDHF9/FMI2/ADGRC1 Gene, Full-length cDNA Clone in Lentivector, Endotoxin-free DNA
CELR1 is a 7 transmembrane (7TM) receptor belonging to the secretin receptor family, which is also known as family B or 2 of the G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). Many members of this family are receptors for peptide hormones from the glucagon hormone family and regulate the activation of two major signal transduction pathways: adenylyl cyclase (cAMP) and phosphatidylinositol-calcium pathways. CELR1 may be proteolytically processed to form a heterodimer of 2 chains: the large extracellular N-terminal fragment and the membrane-bound C-terminal 7TM fragment predominantly remain associated and non-covalently linked. CELR1 is also a member of the flamingo subfamily, part of the cadherin superfamily. The flamingo subfamily consists of nonclassic-type cadherins; a subpopulation that does not interact with catenins. The flamingo cadherins are located at the plasma membrane and have nine cadherin domains, seven epidermal growth factor-like repeats and two laminin A G-type repeats in their ectodomain. They also have seven transmembrane domains, a characteristic unique to this subfamily. It is postulated that these proteins are receptors involved in contact-mediated communication, with cadherin domains acting as homophilic binding regions and the EGF-like domains involved in cell adhesion and receptor-ligand interactions. CELR1 is a developmentally regulated, neural-specific gene which plays an unspecified role in early embryogenesis. CELR1 may play an important role in cell/cell signaling during nervous system formation.
Gene Symbol: CELR1; CELSR1; CDHF9; FMI2; ME2; HFMI2; ADGRC1
NCBI Gene ID: 9620
Uniprot Entry: Q9NYQ6
Construct Details: Full length human CELR1 gene is subcloned into the Lentiviral expression vector pLTC with an upstream CMV promoter and with or without a selection marker, which can be used for both transient and stable expression in mammalian cells. It can be co-transfected with the LentiPAK DNA mix (SKU# LP-001) into HEK293 cells to produce high titer lentiviral particles. Multiple choices of a stable antibiotic selection marker are available.
Vector Type: pLTC or pLTC-IRES-Marker (lentiviral expression vector containing a heterologous CMV promoter, see the vector map above)
Formulation: Supplied with 10 μg of endotoxin-free plasmid DNA at 200 ng/μl in sterile TE buffer (pH8.0)
Gene Insert Size: 9045 (bp)
